Who we are

Nordica Wholesale is a Shopify app made by Variegata Nordica (Mallory Berthomé). Questions about this policy or your data: mallory.berthome@gmail.com.

What the app stores

• Your store’s address and Shopify access, so the app can open in your Shopify admin and set up your wholesale prices.
• Your price lists and settings: names, customer tags, discounts, quantity breaks, minimums, and the products or collections they apply to (ids and titles).
• Your plan (Free or Pro).
• Messages you send with “Contact support” or “Suggest an improvement”, and the email address if you add one.
• Technical error reports: your store’s address, the page and the error, so problems can be fixed.

Your customers

The app’s database holds no information about your customers. When someone sends the wholesale registration form, the app creates or updates that customer in your Shopify store: their name, email, company, country, phone, website, message and VAT number are saved on the customer, with a tag. You see and manage them in Shopify, and Shopify deletes them when you delete the customer.

When a VAT number is entered and the VAT check is on, the number is sent to the European Commission’s VIES service to check that it is valid. The answer (valid or not, and the company name VIES holds) is saved on the customer in Shopify.

The app never reads orders. Prices and rules are applied by Shopify at checkout.

What the app changes in your store

It creates one automatic discount (“Wholesale price”), one checkout rule when you use minimums or wholesale-only products, and a setting that your theme reads to show prices. With the price sheet, it saves wholesale prices on your product variants. It adds, removes and reads customer tags, and sets the EU reverse-charge tax exemption on approved customers when you turn that on. It never changes retail prices, orders or theme files.

Who processes the data

Cloudflare hosts the app and its database. Shopify provides the store data, runs the discount and checkout rule, and handles billing. The European Commission’s VIES service checks VAT numbers. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.

How long it is kept

When you uninstall the app, your sign-in data is deleted at once, Shopify removes the app’s discount and checkout rule, and billing stops. Your price lists are kept until Shopify asks for them to be erased, 48 hours after uninstalling, so a quick reinstall gets them back. You can ask for your support messages to be deleted at any time.
