Common questions
How does a customer get wholesale prices?
Give them the price list’s tag (like “wholesale”) in Shopify, or approve their application in the app. Once they log in, they see their price on product pages and pay it in the cart and at checkout.
Do I need Shopify Plus or Shopify’s B2B companies?
No. It works on every plan with ordinary customer accounts and tags. Shopify’s own B2B (now on Basic, Grow and Advanced too) is great if you need net payment terms and a few company catalogs; use it alongside us, or instead of us, if that’s all you need.
Will a theme update break it?
No. Nothing is added to your theme’s code. The form, the price display and hidden prices are theme app blocks that Shopify keeps through theme updates, and the prices themselves come off through Shopify’s discount engine.
How is EU VAT handled?
With the VAT check on, numbers are checked with the EU’s VIES register. With reverse charge on, a valid VAT ID from another EU country gets Shopify’s EU reverse-charge tax exemption when you approve the customer. Businesses in your own country keep paying VAT, as the law says.
Can visitors still buy hidden or wholesale-only products?
Hidden prices hide the price and buy button on your pages. Wholesale-only products and order minimums are checked by Shopify itself in the cart and at checkout, so they can’t be worked around.
Does it work with my other discounts?
The wholesale price doesn’t stack with other product or order discounts (Shopify applies the better one) but does with free-shipping discounts.
How do I set a price per variant?
Open Price sheet, export, fill the column of your price list, and import it (Pro). Then turn on “Use fixed prices from the price sheet” in the price list.
What happens if I go back to Free?
Your first price list keeps running as % off. The others are paused, not deleted, and fixed prices, breaks, minimums and the VAT check pause too. They start again when you return to Pro.
How do I cancel Pro?
Open Plans in the app and click Cancel Pro. Uninstalling also ends billing at once.
